For me, the process of discovery is the fun part of painting. Love those little epiphany moments.<br />In regards to the a fore mentioned article, I couldn't agree more. After years of painting outdoors to learn the nuances of nature and after learning the academic elements of painting (Foundational Truths), the fun begins when you start to paint what you "feel" or "want" to paint in a scene. This is when your identity as an artist emerges.
